St Patricks Day Create Session!

💚💚💚Happy St Patricks Day! 💚💚💚

The amazing collection of works for our St.Patrick’s day celebrations were all created exclusively for us.

The St.Patrick’s day brief:

Option 1: what does St.Patrick’s day mean to you? Do you have any specific memories, connotations, pieces of music, films etc that you associate with this day? From this create something in response to it!

Option 2: we give you a word associated with St.Patrick’s day and you can create something from that!

Really looking forward to what you do! Go forth with the luck of the Irish! 🍀

Each person has created something beautifully unique and in their own style! We love them all!

I love printmaking as a way to preserve memories. The multiplicity of drawings

the imprint and trace the ink makes

and the varying depth of engraved lines altering the density of each mark.

At the heart of everything I make are people, personal stories.

Stories which often spill into a much wider context, but begin with something and more often someone, very intimately.

I didn’t imagine when given the word prompt that this is what I’d make, but paddy’s day for me is about one person in my life in particular, and I just couldn’t get past him.

The most beautiful mind I’ve ever met, a mind full of gold, a mind that’s slowly slipping away.

So this, simply is cheers to him on Paddy’s day.
