Bradley Jones

Hi, I'm Brad. I am multidisciplinary artist and visual communicator. My work is inspired by personal experiences and stores; often including satire, comedy and sparce narrative. Jack of all trades is probably the best work for me. Making paper by hand, printmaking, drawing, and painting are my main practices alongside book binding and moving images.

Where would you like your work to take you?

Publishing and collaborative projects mostly. Although I want to try and do everything I can at least once so my true main goal is quite open ended, rule the world?

Which part of your creative process do you enjoy most?

Definitely the process itself. I am quite an autonomous creator, focusing on pattern and the experience of making the thing I am making, I think that's why I like things like painting and printmaking, they warrant many steps to complete.

Where do you draw inspiration from?

Everything, conversations I have, journal entries, photography, other artists around me and many artists i see online. Memories and concepts have been a big one as of recent.

What piece of music would you say compliments your work the most?

I have no idea in all honesty. I've been listening to dub, bassline and funk over the past few days. My music changes vibes to a distressing degree, so yeah I'd say listen to funk, bassline and dub at the same time then view my work :)

Can you list a couple other creatives/friends/people you look to for inspiration?

Jeremy sorese, Jean giraud, Phillips druillet, any old French or Belgian comic person. I love Robert mckinson (guy who did the looney tunes backgrounds) and other people who dive into perspective drawing. My housemates are also inspirations, Laura Kennedy (@kennedy.takephotos) is a big ones, always doing something good. The list can go on forever :)
