Libby Cooper

I am an 18 year old nude and fashion photographer, based in London. I have recently graduated from the BRIT School, where my passion for visual art flourished. Within my work, you will see continuous themes of expression through the nude body. In June I embarked on my first nude series, and it has changed my work completely, this project was a big turning point in my career as it solidified what path I wanted to follow. Where would you like your work to take you?

I would absolutely love to travel with my work, shoot for magazines and brands in foreign countries. That is definitely one of my biggest career goals and one that I know I have to achieve! However, the ultimate dream is to be able to do this completely full time.

What do you look for when creating an image?

Within my work I aim to capture personality within it as I feel as though that is what makes an amazing image to me. I really love movement and capturing the fun on set. If your model does not feel comfortable on set then you will definitely see that through the images.

Where do you draw inspiration from?

I have been heavily inspired by my mum's early photography, alongside artists such as Hollie Fernando (@holliefernando) and Katie Silvester (@ktsilvester). However, I find that when preparing myself for shoots and drawing ideas together, photography isn't my main stimulant. I find that artwork, films, and locations inspire me the most. This is why, when preparing for a shoot I tend to focus on the model and location as these are the elements which spark inspiration for me.

Can you list a couple other creatives/friends/people you look to for inspiration?

My friend Joe Puxley (@Joepuxx), is definitely one of my biggest inspirations as he captures people so beautifully and has such an eye for photography. I am really fortunate to be surrounded by such a vast array of artists, I have a really beautiful group of photographers that inspire me and help me learn so much. It consists of Shenell Kennedy (@shenellkennedy), Satori Cascoe (@toricascoe), and Joe Puxley(@Joepuxx), 3 Incredible artists to check out. Other photographers I look up to are Kobe Boateng (@kobeboateng), Cameron Reed (@camsvisualart), Luca Rapisarda (@lucarapisardaphoto), and Breyona Holt (@exquisite_eye).
