I am insomniac, in my work, my main concern is about myself and the thoughts.

Therefore, my paintings are always focused on six main perceptions, which are Self-Portrait, Complexity of Brain, Universe, The status of Stillness, Map and Dream. For me, these topics' relationships are related to each other closely.

Currently, my art practice is trying to develop the idea of Complexity of Brain and I created an abstract place where like Utopia which is called Brain Land.

‘’What is the exact reason to make the numerous thoughts in my mind? And what exist in my brain? ‘’are the questions that I have exploring for many years.

I think it is really interesting and leading me to have the desire to dig out the possibilities of it. Thus, through this concept, I attempt to use psychological perspectives to explain it.

By doing that, I see myself as a doctor and patient in the same time, to heal myself through the monologue from the inner part. During this process, I imagine acting like a doctor to analyse and dissect my brain, and then observe it as a method, it seems like I am operating a surgery to (for) myself, the idea of surgery is also creating more space to think about the complexity.

Where would you like your work to take you?

My first goal will be a full-time artist and use this career and capability to support my life.

Secondly, to discover different countries and cultures by participating in residencies over the world.

Thirdly, I wish my art will become recognized and be seen on different platforms internationally one day.

And of course I hope everyone finds love and happiness from my works, I want my art to have the ability to heal.

Which part of your creative process do you enjoy most?

Like everyone else, I play multiple roles in my life.

Making art is the time I take ownership back and create whatever I like, this is the only moment I truly feel myself and happy. I also find my identity and inner peace through this process.

Where do you draw inspiration from?

My inspirations are mainly from nature, Feminism, dreams and life experiences in Japanese inspired style.

I transfer these elements into my imaginative language and use an abstract way to interpret them.

What piece of music would you say compliments your work the most?

Lofi Hip Hop, a mixture of everything just like my personality.

Can you list a couple other creatives/friends/people you look to for inspiration?

Jesus Cisneros

Paila Duro

Shaun Tan
